Sampling

I think that sampling, and surveying is an interesting thing as long as it is done correctly. I think that there are so many complications though and when testing a larger audience there has to be such a huge margin of error. The book talks about different ways and difficulties when testing these types of people. I think that when they use the word measuring so much it may take down their credibility, I mean are they getting everything? There is probably so much that they miss. I really liked the idea of those meters like at the superbowl, or what the people were using when listening to President Hinckley. Those are powerful tools. I think that technology has come a far way and it is extremely impressive when it comes to telling what people like. As far as the nelson stuff, I am not sure how much I like that. The idea of them knowing how and when people are watching television, weird. And I can't imagine everyone is totally honest with those things anyway. I know that I would probably want to say I watch less television than I do, I don't know. And is it really that important? A lot of money goes into these types of things, coundlnt it be used somewhere else?
