being a reporter

So I have thought a lot lately about being a reporter and I am not sure this is what I want to do anymore. I think that it is a great way to get your voice out there but really, are you getting your voice or that of the channel you work for? I know you do usually have to wrok from the bottom, and that happens, but I wish that there was more to it. In the book it talks about a reporters job, and it sounds tough.
You first have to make sure you get interesting angles to each story, and what if somestories don't have something like that. I am sure that some are simply just plain and boring, but then again, reporting on anything could be interesting...? Also being honest in all that you do, building that reputation in the community so that peoiple know you are honest and will give the full story. I have always wondered why some reporters still have a job. People know that they are dishonest yet the give into a story anyway? Coome on! I think that more people need to be discerning about the media's power over them. Like we talked about earlier, we have allowed a fourth branch of government and how silly is that? Well career choice number five hundred sixty eight, now forced out the window.
