book readers and textbooks

I think that textbooks are something that should be banned from society. I am not going to lie, there are a few classes that I am really interested in that I actually take the time to read and study, but other classes I never read the book. I know that this is probably a bad idea, but what can you do? I mean either way books are just getting to pricy, and they usually aren’t even ones good enough to read. Trade books are something I thrive on though., I love sitting down on a cold night and curling up with a favorite novel or something. It’s one of those acquired tastes I suppose. But I think that BYUI is headed in the rightt direction by trying to get away from these. Tithing dollars help keep the cost low, but then when it comes to books there is nothing they can do. I think that going completely online is a sad thing but something that probably needs to be done because it is just to costly for probably the poorest people in society. But then it makes me think about book readers, like kendalls, or nooks or whatever. These things to me are pretty cool, but irritating because you can’t write on them? I am curious to know if there us a way to highlight, because that is one of the main ways to learn.
